Photo with new President and Sister Cannon.
I just got back from the Temple and it was so awesome! I love the temple and i love the new insights we gain from every time we go! We have been having a ton of fun and working super hard! We had a little but big miricle yesterday when we were able to use the sisters car for 2 hours while they weekly planned! we were able in those short few hours, to see tons of people we couldnt see on bike cause the distance! We set up lessons and got to talk and make friends with all the familys! We felt so productive with the car and we just got so much done! This week we hald our first firesides at the star and parklane buildings! We the missionaries in Eagle just wanted a way to excite missionary work so we e mailed Elders from the Eagle steak and got miricles from them and we have return missionaries speaking at this fireside! And we got all the youth singing a great song. We the missionaries to make it more fun and less formal just walk around and interact with the members. We did not want a boring lecture from the pulpit so we use the loud voices we were given as we walk! It was a sucess! We are holding 2 more firesides on the 8th and it will be at our 2 buildings! i cant wait! While the members are feeling the spirit we pass out refferl sheets and have them write down someone they think is ready to hear the lessons and someone they think would never ever meet with the missionaries and we collect them before they leave! it was awesome and the spirit was strong! Pres. Kotter came and gave a great talk with a minor chastisement and we loved it! This week was yet another week of Hawaii connections! ill start off with Aunty Norma and unko Hank Nawahine, They were askng if i had some reletives in Kalihi and i said "i have no clue" but they went on and we made connections that her mom Lily Ing and my great grandma were best friends and she went onn telling me all about my grandma "Becky" or Rebecca and Frank Runnels! I knew off the bat who they were cause i used to always go visit them in Laie cemetary! I knew their name and that was about it but i learned all about my ansestors from her! Then at one of our dinner app. we sat down and talked for a while, They started talking about a "Mary" and they told me where she used to live... I just had to throw it out there but i asked what her last name was and they said Murry or Meyers and i knew instantly they were speaking of my grandpas sister! I then learnt all about her and they said my grandpa spoke at her funeral and years back i remember him flying to boise to do that! Crazy! Then at church we just gave a talk and a family came up to me (you know the typical "good talk" comments) and as we got talking they told me of their family in Hawaii they were going to see in the north shore... it was a long shot for me to know them but she said the name and i was shoked cause as a side job with kelii we put in their wood floors and the people said that they loved the floors and its the first thing they show off! Then later after another talk we walked down the church and a lady stopped me and said "i think you know my son in law" I was like "what, weird but ok" and she told me that i lived with him and her daughter married him! It was my old room mate and i knew their daughter well! i could not go to the beach when he proposed to her cause i had work but when i got home they were so stoked! I told her all about the day they got ingaged and she was happy! Any way im just blown away at how many small "tender mercies" the Lord is and has blessed me with! I love the work here! We are getting close to setting some date for baptism and we (With our heavenly fathers perfect help) have increased our teaching pool from one porsen when we came, to over 25 people! We are being so blessed and i just love every second of my life in the service of my God! Aloha till next week! oh congrats Kiley, Scotty is one of the best people i know!
