Well this week was very interesting and i am super happy to be healthy again! i came down with a minor case of swine flu! chee hee! i actually went into the mtc thinking i would get it cause they said polys are more probable to get mainland flus! but yeah it wasnt too bad but the ladie we live with had it first then me then my comp then the husband of the house we live at got it! its all good now! i got a blessing and right after it was done i just got and felt 100 % better! boy do i have a testimony of the priesthood blessings! heavenly father takes such good care of me and i know im better cause he needed me to get back to work! i tried a habanero burrito this week and if u dont know, its a super hot pepper! i loved it and it wasnt too bad but it was 100 times worse coming out lemme tell u! we had another baptism also! a sweet young girl named kylie peterson! her baptism went great! we taught all the lessons to her and she understood more than i thought! very smart girl! oh the plus to being sick! i read all of d and c and the pearl of great price and i read our heritage and our search for happiness! i never read a book in my life before my mission but i love it now! never thought id say that but i do love studing and reading more than i ever did before! one of the miricles of serving! im reading the book of mormon again through cause there is power in studing ive learned! it really gives the sprit alot more to work with in ur time of need! there was a corn maze that kuna puts on and we took some investigators to it! we got there and the main man of the event came up to us and asked if we could do a part of the show and i looked at garcia and said "dude u should totally dance for everyone!" and he said yeah i would but there is no music i can dance to that is missionary approved! i was stoked he said that and i should never open my mouth with sarcasm cause i would have been so embarresed if he did! anyway i had the uke in the car so i played in front of the farm! i had to play the only song i had memorized and so i played how can i be! it went good and plenty people were talking bout the little guitar i played and how great it sounded! i was stoked cause hopefully it showed that missionaries are not some strange cult and we are people with talents too! we got lots of people talking about the ones who showed up in nice chlothes to the farm maze and the investigators had fun too! ok so some funnie things of garcia u need to hear! we were at a home eating dinner and garcia was trying to convince me he had lots of friends at all the clubs in texas and how gangsta he was so i just kept laffing and the ladie we were eating with is super cool and she called him out, she said "u dont look very gangsta" and he said "thats cause i have this tag and i have to shave" hahaha what the heck garcia! ur not a gangster and u never were! stop telling stories! i was eating one night some dried ika (squid) and both my comps wanted to try so i said k go and kaler liked it but garcia smelt it and threw it on the floor, so i made up thid huge storie of how it was a delicasy in hawaii and i made him feel bad so he ate some to make me feel good and he started gaging on it but swallowed it finally! hahaha he said "i need to brush my teeth and eat mints to get it outta my taste" but before he went off i said "wait! that will make the taste worse like 1000 times worse" he said " so what do i do?" i told him "eat lots of bread!" he started pounding a loaf of bread and we (elder kaler and i) could not hold ourselves from rolling and he said "are you lieing?" so i told him yeah and he never talked for the rest of the night! hahaha i love him! ok now that the garcia storie of the week is over ill tell you how the work is going! ive seen many miricles in this last week and i think thats why satin might have helped me get that sickness! weve been making moves in the work big time! we met with all 8 ward mission leaders and that has never been done yet apparently. we also set up dates with all of the wards to go on splits to save us miles and help the work explode! i had each ward pick a night a week to do it and we had such great sucsess we needed to double wards on same nights! do the math 8 wards but only tue-sat we could do splits so the lord has proved that if we just try, he will make up the rest and help us see things happen! so kaler went to a meeting yesterday and we were low on miles so i pulled the car over and told garcia were going to do some good old tracting! i offered a prayer before we went off knocking doors and in the prayer i asked heavenly father to give us 2 new people to teach cause we dont have many and i know if we ask in faith and we are doing what we are suposed to he will answer! boy did he answer this time! the street i was impressed to start on was a street he (heavenly father) had obviously prepared for a while! first door, member, i set up an appointment to return to do a f.h.e. with the kids and make a family mission plan, next door ciggerette buds everywhere and a girl with a kid in hand answered! not super interested but i still gave her a pass a long card and eventually set a time to return to share more! , next door, a lady with a big family and she said she had been kinda looking for a church to go to so i told her the time her ward met and where and what goes on in church as well as a return app.! chee hee... i was so happy and excited.. next door, member and told us about the neighborhood a little , next door was a young cathlioc girl maybe 24 or so and she was nice.. her lawn was in need of some water bad so we offered to help her but she said no... i testifyed and left her a pamflet to ponder but i told her if she was going to throw it away i would keep it so i made sure she would devote just 5 min. to read it and she said yes! next door was a cop we had been working with so i stopped by to say hi then we had to go back to the church to get kaler but i felt super impressed to stop at one more house. i dont know but ive learned that if u are being told to stop, u stop cause if not, bra ur going to miss out! so i seen this buss up truck in a drive way and the lights were on and it was a lady that answered the door. single mom that was a member untill 18, she was at least 40 now but she left cause she was abused sexually by one of the older men in the ward and had some hard feelings. any way she was a social worker and she got over it and said she thinks this was not a coincedence that we showed up at her door cause she had had missionaries try brfore and she was not ready but now she said she might be! i said we would throw what we know to be true out there and if she wanted to take it she could but if at any time she was uncomfortable, then we would leave! the sprit was so strong and she wanted us to teach her and her fiance so we set an app. and we left! amazing how we were directed to stop even tho we were late and find this lady that was prepared for years and had just decided she would look for the right church only the night before! the only reason someone would think something in life was a coincidence would be that they had a lack of faith to see the miricle heavenly father threw at them! ive come to learn that very well out here! well sorry again for the life storys i tell but i hope that u all continue to stay active in the gospel. not just the go to church kine but get involved in the lords work and see how much u will change! i promise u that anything we struggle with he will make better and only through him can we overcome anything! life is good here in idaho! oh yeah the low tommrrow is 30 so im so thankfull for my warm clothes! and how lucky we are to be able to see our living prophet in confrence this week! go to all the sessions u can and stay awake cause if u do, every talk given will hit u and u will want to be better! the time is not far that christ will visit us again so endure it!
