Our last day together 7/7/09 - Manti Temple

Today was spent washing and labeling all Elder Runnels new white shirts and packing his bags. We went to Walmart and bought him lots of snacks and we xeroxed his Patriarchal Blessing
He took a break and went to throw a football with Dylan and Spencer over at Snow College. The elevation in Ephraim is so different than what we are use to that he didn't last too long.
When he got back we got ready for a temple session at the Manti Temple.  This temple is incredible. The session is live and you move from room to room.  It was a very spiritual experience and the best feeling to look across the room and see Elder Runnels there dressed in white, soaking it all in.  On the way home we stopped at the Malt shop in Ephraim.  They have the best Malts and shakes ever!  Elder Runnels got a big burger and onion rings and a large chocolate malt.  He was in heaven (see happy photo below).  We went home to the Heywood house and watched mountain of the Lord as we were doing our last minute projects.  Elder Runnels stayed up late into the night writing Thank You cards to the many people at home who has supported him.  While he was doing that, I was burning A LOT of church music for him since he didn't have any (we snuck a bruddah IZ CD in there too).  I didn't want this day to end. When Elder Runnels wanted to go to sleep I told him he couldn't and kept tickling him so he would stay awake.  Our time together was coming to an end and me and Sas were so happy and sad at the same time.
