Aloha O'e Honolulu Airport 7/2/09

This morning, Isaac was set apart as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  This ordination was performed by Aaron Keo who is the 2nd Counselor in the stake Presidency of the Laie Hawaii Stake.  In attendance was myself (Nikki Mozo) and Isaacs mom.  I cannot write many of the things that were said.  They are sacred and not mine to share. However, I can tell you that the spirit was so strong that tears were streaming down our faces.  What an honor and a privledge to be there.  Now that he is a missionary, he has to be with someone all the time, so he came home to pack.  It was a special experience for me to watch him pack.  Sounds crazy I know, but here was a young man who loves to surf and play, putting away his boards in their board bags and packing away his skateboard and body board and fins.  It really touched my heart.  I thought of the sacrifice he was making to serve the Lord for two years and it strengthened my own desire to be more committed to the gospel.  He went home with his mom and we met at the airport later that night.  When we got there a lot of his co-workers came out to say goodbye.  We all took photos and he hugged everyone.  Huge smile on his face the whole time, his family cried as he went through the security gate and out of their sight for the next two years.
