June 15, 2010

Wow you guys! i just keep getting letters and e mails of everything back home and i am just blown away at how much can change in a year! I have not even been gone that long and so much is going on! I love it! keeps things intersting i guess! Change is good! You know i got to sit in for primary this week and i was amazed with the spirit that is in there! I was so touched when they sang a song "If my Savior stood beside me" i was pondering all the words and the spirit thick as ever made me think. How would we REALLY act if our Savior was always beside us. Would we act how we do or speak how we do or even think how we do... I have been keeping that fresh in my mind and i have been trying to live as if he were right next to me. Well we set another few dates for baptism but i am not sure if ill be staying around to see them. We should get transfer calls today or tomorrow and transfers are next wee mon-wed. I know ill be going where my Heavenly Father wants and needs me! This week i was able to have some of the most fun on my mission so far! We met a non member man that needed help bad! he had a deck he had tried to start on and he knew as much about construction as a 5 year old. he asked if we would help him and my comp looked at me knowing i loved construction! i said "not only yes, but heck yes" i was able to set all the post and run all the joist! we used hangers and we had to hand drive everything cause he had no electricity! it was too fun! i never touched a hammer for a while and my girly hands got plenty blisters but minor... I was in Heaven to be able to do that! I was able to figure out his stairs which was fun and we will start laying the 2x6 decking this week! we were able to teach him while we worked too! we spoke of Joseph Smith and everything of the gospel! It was awesome! OH on the way home one of the service days we ran over a snake so we turned the car around and i hopped out to see it! It coiled up like it was about to strike so i had elder Maples run over it again but he would not die so we chased him into the fields and cornered him! i stabbed him with a window scraper and i grabbed it! i put him in a big cup and put a lid on it! It was about 5 feet long but i also knew he was not poisens cause only Rattle snakes up here have deadly bites... any way my comp is deathly affraid of snakes and it was moving plenty in the car and he freeked out! hahaha... we took it home and put it in our freezer so we could eat it later... it was a bull snake and the meat on it is not too bad... Well everything here is going so good! not much more to say other than the area is so hott right now and Heavenly Father is blessing us so much! We know who the sorce of our sucess is and we feel so blessed to be able to see all the work here and be an instrument in the hands of our Lord! Happy Fathers Day and Aloha!
