Aloha ohana! ok so where do i start! this week was crazy! we have seen and done so much that i cant even kinda fit on this e mail! ill start with the most random then work from there! ready! i went to a muslim funeral this week sunday! im not sure if you all remember the family from bagdad i was teaching but they had a bunch of dwarf kids and one was badly paralysed! she was taken down to utah to have a first time procedure on her to fix her back so she could sit up in a wheel chair but it went bad and she passed! we just happened to show up at there house when the mom got news so i was shocked too! the mom tried to kill herself a few times and she just screemed and yelled all night in mourning of her daughter! i could do nothing cause we cant touch her or look at her or give blessings or anything! she kept saying her girl is gone and will never see her ever again! that is what they truely believe! no one can change her mind and she was crazy! full on banging her arms on her chest and yelling crazy kine! anyway saja the girl that passed had a viewing on sun but here is the crazy part! they do not believe in useing balming fluids or anything so she had to be burryed with in 48 hours! there was no cascets! just her body on a table! they do body washings 3 time with prayers and chants inbetween and then they hand carry the body to the grave yard! no women are alowed to touch the body during the process! they then arrive at the site to bury after many prayers and chants then the dad hopped in the 6 foot deep hole and they handed the girl to him! he sets her in the dirt 3 times in differnt positions and then they say one last chant then scoop the dirt on her for good! the whole time the mom is vocaly mourning along with the girls and the mom actually passed out due to the stress! the girls carryed her to the car and left! it was snowing and mud all on the ground but no one cared! it was so nutts! there were like 100 muslims there! i never knew there were even that many in america yet alone in idaho! there was also a bunch of dwarfs too! i was so culture shocked but i loved it! the dad (Abu ali) took time to say thanks to me for all i did but i just said no thank you! saja was such a smart girl but i know she is no longer in her held back physical state! she is free! that was the #1 most random thing and just to add we have seen many miricles this week! the ohana we live with are awesome and they feed us every meal! they love us and we love them! we are going today to the zoo with the family! should be fun! cold but fun! elder Akina made his first snow man this week! we also had a fat snow ball fight with the kids! we have some good baptisms lined up and one date set for march 5! we have more coming hopfully! i love my comp! we have sooo much fun and we work so hard! all is well! i hope all is well back in Hawaii nei! i cant wait for this week! it will be so much fun! ok well i gotta go! i love you all aloha!
