Today Elder Runnels got a new companion: Elder Akina from Hawaii!! Elder Akina flew to Boise this morning direct from the MTC. Elder Runnels will be Elder Akina's trainer (and he will be excellent)!
Evidently, Elder Runnels and Elder Akina will be moving from our home to another home in the stake at the end of this month. We will really miss his smiling face and instant laugh! His former companion, Elder Ridgway will continue to live with us along with his new companion: Elder Eyring (Arizona). Elder Ridgway will also be a trainer to Elder Eyring.
They were all at our home tonight and I was finally able to make the recipe you had sent to me just before Christmas. I must say, after the 3rd or 4th helping for each Elder, I was suprised to see anything left in the pot! They loved it and Elder Runnels said that it took him back to memories of home and of his grandma.
